Stress is a natural response to challenging or demanding situations, often causing physical and emotional symptoms like tension, irritability, and fatigue. Effective strategies for coping with stress include regular exercise, mindfulness meditation, and deep breathing exercises. It is also helpful to maintain a healthy lifestyle, setting realistic goals, prioritizing tasks, and seeking support from friends, family, or a counselor.
Depression is a common mental health condition characterized by persistent sadness, loss of interest, and a range of emotional and physical symptoms. To cope with depression, it's important to maintain a regular exercise routine, establish supportive relationships, practice good eating and sleeping habits, and seek professional help through counseling and/or medication (if necessary).
Grief is a natural and normal response to loss that can follow many kinds of events, like death of a loved one, end of a relationship, change in health, etc. Effective strategies for coping with grief/loss include allowing yourself to feel and expression your emotions, engaging in self-care activities, and seeking support for friends, family, or a counselor.
Disordered eating involves behaviors that limit choices, restrict food intake, lead to discomfort, cause a sense of being of out control, and/or create feelings of shame/guilt. Effective strategies for managing eating concerns involve developing a healthier relationship with food, practicing self-compassion, and seeking professional help from a counselor, dietitian, or support group.
Substances misuse involves the harmful or hazardous use of alcohol, drugs, or other substances that leads to negative health and social consequences. Effective ways to address substance misuse involves developing alternative coping strategies for using, addressing underlying concerns, maintaining a routine, and seeking professional help through counseling, support groups, and/or rehabilitation programs.

Addressing trauma in counseling involves creating a safe space to process the experience, while developing mindful skills to use in day-to-day life.
Suicide ideation refers to thinking about, considering, or planning suicide. It involves persistent thoughts or a preoccupation to ending one's own life and can range from fleeting thoughts to detailed planning. This is often a symptom of an underlying mental health condition and requires immediate attention and support to secure safety and provide appropriate intervention.
